Visas/Letter of Invitation
Some participants may require an entry visa to the Czech Republic. Please check with your travel agent if a visa is required.
Upon request, the Conference Secretariat will send a personal invitation letter to participants. This invitation will be provided solely to assist with visa application process and is not a commitment to provide any financial support.
Currency / Exchange
The currency unit in the Czech Republic is the Czech Koruna (CZK).
International Credit cards are accepted for payment in most hotels, restaurants and shops. Exchange offices and ATM machines are easily available throughout the city and at Prague International Airport.
Transportation
Prague International Airport - Ruzyne is located approximately
16km/10 miles from the city center. Travel time is approximately 30 minutes by car and 45 minutes on public transport.
Hilton Hotel Prague can be reached by metro line B or C to
FLORENC station, a 3 minute walk to the Hilton Hotel.
Taxi Service Prague taxis are legendary known for their bad reputation. In order to avoid being overcharged, we recommend using one of the following companies:

Local taxi rates are relatvely cheap. The average taxi price from the airport to the city center is around 650 CZK / 26 EUR.
You are strongly advised to negotiate a price before you get in.
Tipping Policy
- Customary 5%-10% in restaurants, pubs, cafés and taxis.
- Customary to tip bellboys, luggage handlers – 1.5 EUR/40 CZK,
- Tour guides - 1 EUR/25 CZK, Toilets - 2 CZK OR 5 CZK

In May the weather in Prague is pleasant. Average temperatures range between
15-20°C. Occasional rain.

Participants are advised to purchase comprehensive travel insurance coverage. The Conference organizers and/or Diesenhaus-Unitours Incoming Tourism Ltd., shall not be liable for any loss or damage to property that belongs to Conference participants nor for personal injuries sustained during or as a result of the Conference, or during tours.
